MOONSHOT works in the creation, development and production of audiovisual content for cinema and TV, dozens of films, hundreds of episodes, thousands of hours of content have been offered to the public on TV channels, movie theaters and streaming platforms, in products that are divided into a variety of productions including fiction series, feature films, reality shows and documentary series.
Founded in 2001 by producer Roberto d’Avila (who’s been working in the audiovisual market since 1984), it has already produced well-known and impactful formats such as the renowned “In Treatment” (Globoplay and GNT), “This is Luna” (HBO Max), “The Fare” (AXN), “9mm: São Paulo” (Fox), non-fiction shows like “Airport – Restricted Area” (Discovery), “Make it sweet”(GNT), “The Taste Brazil” (GNT), “Cooks in Action” (GNT), besides movies such as “A Dangerous Practice: Arigó and the Spirit of Dr. Fritz”, “Last Stop 174”, “Magal and the ants”, “Dear Mom”, “The Vulcan’s Hammer“, “The Secret of the Dolphins”, and international co-productions such as “Rosario Tijeras” e “The Mystery of Sintra Road”, among others.

Project Production Coordinator
Ana Luiza Savassi is an author and screenwriter from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She graduated in Cinema with a specialization in screenwriting from the New York Film Academy. Since 2014, São Paulo has been her home and creative stage to narrate stories that move between fiction and non-fiction.
In fiction, wrote the scripts for the 4th, 5th and 6th seasons of the series In Treatment ((Globoplay/Moonshot) – with the last season scheduled for 2025, – she has created the treatment and scripts for “This is Luna” (Max/Moonshot) and collaborated on “The Fare” (AXN/Moonshot). In cinema, she was part of the team for the movie “Silvio”.
In non-fiction, she wrote and coordinated the scripts for the investigative reality show Restricted Area (Max/Moonshot), and wrote the scripts for “Spying on Grandma” (GNT/Moonshot) and Custom Club Brazil (Discovery Turbo/Moonshot). As an author and screenwriter for the creative nucleus of Moonshot Pictures, Ana writes to move, inspire and bring the comfort of stories that are welcoming, whether in fictional dramas or behind the scenes of reality shows.

Juliana Koch is a screenwriter, graduated in Journalism and specialized in Psychoanalytic Theory. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Development Team at Moonshot Pictures and collaborated on the script for the movie “Silvio” (2023). In addition, she has two comedy-drama series projects and two feature films (one romantic comedy and one thriller) written in-house, in addition to being involved in other projects in development.
Screenwriter / Development Team
Since 2007 (or earlier) Anderson Almeida has been involved in Moon’s projects, either as a designer, crafting storyboards, among others. He joined the development team as a permanent member, initially to do animation, but has worked in all genres. He is one of the creators and screenwriters of “Spectros”. One of the screenwriters of “This is Luna” and also wrote the script for the feature film “Silvio”.

Michael has worked on more than ten feature films, thirty short films and has won around twenty awards at the most prominent Brazilian and foreign film festivals, such as: best TV series – APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) for “9MM”, São Paulo – 2008; best editing at the Ciudad Guayana Children’s Film Festival, Venezuela – 2002, for “Ra-Tim-Bum Castle, the movie”; best editing at the Cuiabá Film Festival, Brazil – Since 2016, he has created, developed and directed fiction content for Moonshot Pictures.
His works include: Director of feature films such as “Empirion – an adventure with Einstein”, launched in 2023, produced by Anágua Films with co-production by Moonshot Pictures; “X Kids”, and co-director of “Magal and the Ants”.
He has also participated in series such as: director, co-creator of the concept and screenwriter of “Spectros” (Netflix); director of the series: “This is Luna” (HBO MAX) and “9mm” (FOX).
Screenwriter / Development Team
Mizael Gomes is a screenwriter and part of the creative team at Moonshot Pictures. He started at Moon in 2015 as a research assistant and works in the audiovisual market developing fiction and non-fiction projects, with experience in scriptwriting, research and content creation.
With a degree in Social Communication – RTV from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (2017) and in Screenwriting from Roteiraria (2018), he was part of the script room for the series “This is Luna” (HBO Max – 2022), writing the script for episode 8. At Moonshot, he is part of the development team, evaluating and creating projects for fiction. He has also worked on research and content production for titles such as “Claude, Beyond Cuisine” (Doc. GNT – 2018), “Make it Sweet” (Reality GNT) and SOS – Save the Hair Salon (Reality GNT), among others.

Cadu Machado is a journalist, screenwriter, playwright and works in the development nucleus of Moonshot Pictures.
At Moon, he wrote three seasons of the series “In Treatment”, the feature films “Empirion – an adventure with Einstein” and “Silvio”, about the kidnapping of TV host Silvio Santos.

Jorge Vaz Nande
Portuguese, based in Brazil.
After studying Law and Screenwriting for Audiovisual and Multimedia, Jorge began his career in 2003, when he won the European NISI MASA short film script competition.
At Moonshot Pictures since 2010, Jorge has developed shows such as the reality shows “Make it Sweet” and “Cooks in Action” and the documentary series “B is for Brazil”.
Other notable projects include “How much for this pastry?”, “Twisted Rides”, “The Taste Brazil”, “What a Wonderful Cooking Class!” and “Beauty Challenge”.
Jorge would also like all of you to know that he fulfilled a childhood dream when he was able to create an entire tv show just about pizza (“Che Bella Pizza”)!
Nonfiction Casting
He has been casting all of Moon’s reality show projects since 2013.
Executive Assistant/ Controller
Worked as an executive assistant in the early days of Moonshot (2005/2006). Left to get to know the market more and returned in 2014 to work on the series “The Fare”. Worked as an executive assistant on several projects for a few years and then ended up moving to the controller’s office, closer to the financial department, as a bridge.
Post Production and Storage
Has worked at Moon in the production area and is currently involved in post production and deliveries for channels, as well as checking masters and other related tasks. Started working with us in mid-2013/2014.
Picture Editor
His first job at Moon was “Brazil’s Next Top Model” in 2007. After that, he became head of the department and coordinated the production of fiction and non-fiction projects. Has been focusing on fiction productions.
Post Production Coordinator
Post Production Coordinator, has been working at Moon since 2007, with the 1st season of “9MM SP”. From then on, he has been involved in basically all projects produced by the company.
Art
Works as an art coordinator for several projects, as an art director she co-directed “PMS! My Love” and was the art director for the reality show “Che Bella Pizza”.
General Assistant
Started as a cleaning assistant and is moving to production assistant.
Marques Security Company
Marques and his security team have worked for all projects and the production company’s headquarters since 2012.
