After five successful seasons, the Globoplay Original serie “In Treatment” is back, directed by Selton Mello, who also plays the protagonist, Caio Barone.

The series is set mainly in a psychoanalyst’s office and follows both the personal and professional life of the therapist. In each episode, viewers are introduced to a new patient’s story. From a married woman who loves too much, to a teenage alcoholic, or a businessman unable to embrace his sexual orientation, all share their doubts and struggles in the hope of finding answers to their problems.

The sixth season of “In Treatment” will feature a new character in the role of supervisor—previously played by Rodrigo Santoro in the fifth season—while maintaining the format of four new patients as main characters, along with the personal dramas of Caio Barone.

The first two seasons of “In Treatment”  were adapted from the original Israeli series “Be Tipul”. Starting from the third season, still on GNT, Jacqueline Vargas, Roberto d’Avila, and Selton Mello developed original storylines. The fourth season marked a new phase with the beginning of the partnership with Globoplay, becoming one of its most-watched original series. From that season on, Selton Mello took the therapist’s chair as Caio Barone, reinventing the franchise with entirely original characters.
